Account Manager, Bay Area

Scope and Responsibilities

• Achieve Verari revenue goals for hardware, software and services.
• Achieve Verari contribution and product mix objectives.
• Responsible for accurate forecasting out 9-12 mos.
• Provide sales account leadership and change management.
• Aids manager in recruiting a talented and diverse workforce.
• Plays critical role in implementation of Verari coverage model.
• Opens 2-3 new Verari customer engagements per quarter, and creates 5 or more new written opportunity    plans.
• Provides coaching, mentoring, and team development skills to junior team members.
• Responsible for winning new opportunities, maintaining, growing and forecasting ongoing business.
• Manage difficult customer problems and escalations, and ensure a high level of Customer Service and satisfaction.
• Identify prospects, qualify and quantify the opportunity, identify key customer issues and decision criteria    and decision makers.


Experience and Requirements

Ideal candidate is "Solutions Based" strategic sales professional that leads and engages both external and internal resources, with the experience to meet and present to “C” level executives at Fortune 1000 companies with the ability to present and understand the customer’s basic technical requirements. A minimum of 5 years outside sales experience selling to the F1000.

Candidate has existing relationships, contacts and knowledge of commercial ISP/ASP industry. Ability to be effective within complex customer and partner organizations, outstanding communications skills, comfort with a fast moving multi-tasking environment. Understanding of server and storage technologies, networking, cluster and utility computing, power, virtualization and data center infrastructure would be a plus.

Must also be a team player and able to work closely with Field Sales Engineers (FSE) and representatives from other business units and external partners. Candidate must be able to manage key executive relationships at our customers and at Verari Systems. Travel 30-50% overnight travel.
 

Education

FIELD OF STUDY:
Business, Computer Science, Communications, Marketing, or Engineering
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION:
Undergraduate degree in Business and/or Electrical Engineering a plus.
