VB1270 (Xeon)
The VB1270XT blade server from Verari Systems®
is a high performance system that is optimized for
space-constrained enterprise computing and data
center installations. The VB1270XT blade server for
the BladeRack® 2 X-Series is a perfect solution for
today’s Web 2.0 applications where the virtualization
of resources is a key factor in ROI, as in Software as a
Service (SaaS) and web hosting companies.
Certified for use with VMware® ESX Server, the
VB1270XT blade server is an ideal system for virtual
machine serving and enables server consolidation
while reducing operational expenses. Available with
four Gigabit Ethernet ports and optional Fibre Channel
HBAs, the VB1270XT blade server is designed from
the ground up with virtualization in mind.
The
VB1270XT blade server features the latest Quad-Core
Intel® Xeon® 5400 Series processors and a 1333MHz
front side bus for increased performance. With faster
processors, fully buffered DIMM modules and Intel
Virtualization Technology, the VB1270XT blade server
is the ideal solution for a full range of memory and
compute intensive applications.
The VB1270XT blade server is available with advanced
features such as IPMI 2.0 management, KVM-IP and
remote media, which allows for hardware monitoring,
complete power control and software installation and
maintenance to be achieved without ever having to
visit the server.
If more robust power and management features are
required, the VB1270XT blade server can provide
redundant power inputs, blade power metering,
serial console interface and remote O/S and BIOS
provisioning. An integrated LCD management
interface is also available in the VB1270XT blade
server, which allows for viewing blades status at
a glance. New memory and I/O innovations boost
system performance and built-in technologies help
improve power efficiency and keep critical business
information protected.
Each blade supports up to 32GB of fully buffered
DDR2-667 ECC registered memory making it ideal for
virtualization. The VB1270XT blade server provides
exceptional scalability and features Intel’s Demand Based Switching and I/O AT technology which provide
increased power efficiency and network performance
to meet the demanding requirements of today’s
enterprise workloads.
