The Verari Systems WS2260XL blade server
for the BladeRack® 2 XL (BR2-XL) platform is a
high efficiency blade server that is optimized
for space-constrained enterprise computing and
workstation installations. The WS2260XL blade
server supports the latest Quad-Core Intel®
Xeon® 5400 Series processors and a 1600MHz
front side bus for increased performance.
With
a PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card or Tesla C870
GPU Card, DDR2-800 ECC FBDIMM modules
and IPMI 2.0 Management, the WS2260XL is
the ideal solution for a full range of graphics
intensive applications.
When coupled with the Verari Systems’
Connexxus™ hosted desktop solution, IT
managers will be able to employ a high density,
high performance blade-based workstation.
Connexxus compresses and converts the
display data along with the USB signals used
by workstation peripherals (displays, keyboards,
printers and speakers), and transports this
information from the data center directly to the
end user via the corporate network. Support for
high quality video (up to 1920 x 1200 resolution),
audio and multiple USB ports are provided
using a small desktop appliance. This solution
allows for an exceptional desktop experience
while avoiding the heat and noise generated by
high powered workstations. Financial Services
customers find that the WS2260XL combined
with the Connexxus solution eliminates
inefficient, over-priced workstations on the
trading floor freeing up space, simplifying IT

The WS2260XL blade server for the BR2-XL
